Scarborough Fair has been in the Fotinos’ family since 1982. Formerly an 1800’s farmhouse, the building was transformed by Frank Merlo in the late 70’s into a California-style structure and housed a unique craft store called Scarborough Fair. The Fotinos family purchased the building, and with many design modifications, it was transformed into Scarborough Fair, the restaurant. In 1982, Scarborough Fair restaurant opened its doors as one of the foremost natural foods, gourmet establishments in the Jersey Shore. Many chefs have left their mark over the past 25 years with innovations in food that have brought the restaurant to where it is today. Now Scarborough Fair continues to evolve to its next level.
The Fotinos are community-minded and donate regularly to local charities.
Other restaurants managed by the Fotinos include the
Buttonwood Manor, a wedding and banquet facility located on the beautiful Lake Lefferts in Matawan, NJ.
